Minibus Hire FAQs
You may have questions about hiring a Minibus from Ally Cat, and we have listed some of the common questions you may have below.
If you have a question that is not listed, or would like more information then please get in touch with us via our Contact page or by calling us direct.
Who can hire our minibuses?
Anyone with a standard car licence who is over the age of 30 for insurance purposes driver our 9 seaters.
If you want to hire one of our 17 Seaters you’ll need a D1 Category.
Do your minibuses have tow bars?
Yes! You can hitch your trailer or towing device for your journey. We have plug adapters at no extra cost if you need one.
You can also hire one of our trailers if you wish.
Is there anything unique about driving these vehicles?
You’ll be surprised at how “car like” these vehicles are, especially the 9 Seaters.
Like vans, they offer a higher ride giving a really good view ahead. Being a longer and heavier vehicle especially when loaded it’s important you leave a longer distance between you and the vehicle in-front so you can stop safely.
Our minibuses are equipped with parking sensors to give a helping hand, after a few short journeys you’ll naturally learn to accommodate for the extra space needed but don’t be afraid to ask someone to be a look out when parking if you are unfamiliar.
Another important factor is the height of the vehicle, don’t worry as our vehicles clearly display the height so you can manage any road restrictions.
If you are new to driving a minibus you will also want to make sure that the passengers aren’t a distraction whilst on the road whilst you get use to the new dimensions.
Our owner is a trained Minibus instructor, if you’re still unsure about anything we are happy to spend some time with you, just let us know.
