We are pleased to bring to you in 2025 the “GREAT” addition of Meet & Greet locations.
These sites are operating a little differently to our existing main branches.
We have teamed up with GR8 Tool Hire to offer you more pickup locations for your car & van hire.
As well as our existing locations in Cambridge, Sawbridgeworth and Thetford, you can collect your hire vehicle from dedicated locations in Saffron Walden and Bishops Stortford.

How Does It Work?
Meet & Greet is available for any three day hire or more (when booking, please select three 24 hour periods. For example: Monday 10am to Thursday 10am).
One of our wonderful team members will meet you at your chosen drop off point, at a time of your choosing.
Our Alley Cat Team member will be there to complete the vehicle rental process. On check out we will verify ID & Card details.
On return we will check the vehicle back in with you just like we do at our main branches.
Exclusive 10% Discount for existing GR8 Customers
Already a GR8 customer? send us an invoice dated in the last 6 months with promo code AC4GR8 and your Alley Cat booking reference number to info@alleycatrentals.co.uk and we will discount 10% of the rental fee.
(Note: This cannot be used in conjunction with another offer)
Meet & Greet Rules of Hire – it’s a slightly different setup!
- You agree to advise of any changes to the meet and greet times with 2 hours notice. To amend these times inside of the two hours’ notice will incur a £20 Fee.
- For the agreed arrival or return time, a free 15 minute slot is allocated per customer. If the slot is not met a £10 fee will apply per 15 minute slot thereafter.
- The vehicle will not be released for hire if you have not met the ID requirements and the booking fee will not be refunded.
- No customer parking is available.
All other rental terms and conditions remain the same.
