If over 25 you must have held your licence for 12 months.
If under 25 you need to have held your licence for two years and conviction free, also hire is subject to vehicle groups 1, 7 and 8 only.
Minibus Hire is for ages 30-70 and subject to licence restrictions on 14/15/17 seaters.

UK Driving licence (Photo ID is also required if an original paper licence such as a passport)
2 separate letters with your name, postal address that is dated in the last 3 months that have been received through the door. Electronic versions are not accepted.

Yes on most occasions but it can vary. We would need to hear from you, always call the office regarding your points as regrettably some points can affect your hire.
Yes you can… these bookings require a little extra detail. Call the office and we will get you an accurate quote and ensure everything is in hand.
No but we would need to see their original driving licence and check code. Pictures, photocopies and email is not accepted.
If it is first time hiring with us then no we will need to see your driving licence.
We apply a 200 mile allowance to your first day and then an additional 150 each day of hire thereafter, capped at 1000 for the first week, subsequent weeks are 500 miles. Any mileage over this will incur a fee of £0.20p per mile so for example for an extra 50 miles it’s £10. If you are renting for longer than a week, please check with our team for a mileage allowance.
All security deposits are £300. On the day of the hire we will put a hold on this amount on your card. (Sorry but we don’t take American express)
For our 9 seaters it’s a yes if 30 or over. If you are hiring our 14/17 seater then give your local office a call.
We won’t bore you with all the details and we are sorry but this is an insurance NO NO! We’re afraid the vehicle cannot be left at the office without the office being open.
The team need a rest so we do close on a Sunday. See our opening hours just below for Saturdays!
We do allow refunds in some cases. Call us as soon as you know, you do need to give 48 hours notice.
We are happy for you to leave your vehicle here, our team will allocate a parking space but just to let you know we can’t take responsibility for your vehicle and it is at customers own risk.
For the Sawbridgeworth office

To keep our costs as low as possible there are occasions where Cambridge isn’t occupied, call us before to check just in-case if you haven’t already made a booking
Yes, as of September 2025 following an insurance policy update we can now hire to Foreign Military Personnel – please call us to book and one of the team will help you. You must be over 25, and we cant offer our Collison Damage Waiver product. ID requirements and Proof of Address are required as normal, along with the security deposit and payment via credit card.
